How did a young dreamer picking cotton in south Alabama start a journey that that would bring him to become the Mayor of Jasper Georgia, the First Mountain City. That’s a journey that encompasses a tour of duty in the United States Navy, working for a southern technical college called Georgia Tech, becoming a serial entrepreneur, raising a family, giving back to our community through non profit organizations such as Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce and, last but not least, being elected as Mayor. It is a journey I am still living and that’s the road I took.
